For most of Chinese students, once there must be a period when learning English seems so boring and difficult, for there’re always endless vocabularies to memorize and grammar to pay attention to. Without exception, I also hated learning English very much in certain period, but after that, I changed for the positive side of enjoying learning English. Now, let me share the reasons with you.
First of all, from a superficial aspect, I enjoy learning English because I really like listening to English songs and watching English movies, which developed my interest in English.
Moreover, I like learning English because I clearly understand the importance of this language. The more aware I am, the more hard-working I am. The more efforts I make, the more progress I achieve. Thus, I became interested in learning it from day to day. It is the self-motivation that works.
Last but the most important point is that I am really attracted by the culture of England. In my history class, I became fascinated with the history of England. Meanwhile, I am rather interested in English literature. I often read books from Charles Dickens and I also like dramas from William Shakespeare. In my opinion, a language is the reflection of one culture. Thus, my interest in English culture gradually developed my interest in the language.
All in all, above is why I like learning English. And, since we are all here, in a country whose official language is English, shouldn’t we all develop a great interest in learning English and learn it well?
